Dr. Laura Madsen, DVM

Dr. Madsen was born in Ottawa, Ontario. Her family moved to Agassiz when she was 7 so her father could continue his research in Dairy Cattle Nutrition at the Experimental Farm here. She studied Animal Science at UBC before being accepted at the Western College of Veterinary Medicine in Saskatoon where she graduated with her D.V.M degree in 1992. Dr. Madsen and family have lived in Prince George and the Sunshine Coast before moving back to Harrison Hot Springs in 2008. In her time away from work, Dr. Madsen enjoys biking, hiking and water sports with her husband and two daughters, singing, and growing organic vegetables. Dr. Madsen has been with us since 2010.

Dr. K. Klein, BSc, DVM

Dr. Klein was born and raised in Regina, Saskatchewan. After obtaining her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine at the Western College of Veterinary Medicine in 2003 she moved to BC and settled in Chilliwack in 2006. Her professional interests are wide and varied, but include as areas of focus Dentistry and Preventative Care. When not working she enjoys yoga, hiking, swimming, travelling, and reading. She has two cats, Georgia Jean and Layla Lina, that bring her much joy and laughter.

Dr. Kaitlyn Waddington, DVM

Dr. Waddington is excited to be living back in the Upper Fraser Valley after having spent several years away traveling, pursuing her undergraduate degree and then completing her DVM. Kaitlyn grew up in Chilliwack, B.C. and later obtained her Bachelor of Science from the University of Victoria. She then went on to graduate from the Western College of Veterinary Medicine in 2016. After graduation, she practiced for one year in Williams Lake, B.C. where she was involved in mixed animal practice. Kaitlyn, along with her husband, baby girl Rowan, and dog and cat are excited to call Agassiz home. They thoroughly enjoy spending time travelling, hiking, snowboarding, cross country skiing, running and anything else the outdoors has to offer.

Dr. Devon Wilson, DVM

Dr. Wilson grew up on a farm in Tugaske, Saskatchewan where she developed a love of both animals and plants. This lead her to study animal science at the University of Saskatchewan and then on to the Western College of Veterinary medicine. After graduating in 2015 and working in Lethbridge for 2 years, she and her husband recently moved to Chilliwack and settled in with their cat, Dawson. In her spare time she enjoys sports, riding horses and puttering in the yard. Dr. Wilson is working part-time at KVC/CVS while pursuing a Masters degree at UBC in Agassiz.

Nicole, RVT

Nicole has lived in Hope, BC since she was two years old. She graduated from the Animal Health Technology program at Caribou College (now Thompson Rivers University) in 1991. She worked in various practices in the Fraser Valley before coming to work for the Kent Veterinary Clinic in 1993. Nicole divides her time between her husband, four children, their dog Piper, and cat Lucy.

Kaitlin, RVT

Kaitlin has lived in Chilliwack, BC almost her entire life. After high school she began attending UFV with a goal to complete her Associate of Science. During that time she also attended Douglas College in Coquitlam. She graduated in 2016 at the top of her class from the Veterinary Technician Program and became an RVT. Kaitlin owns two horses named Riley and Sun, a dachshund/lab named Oscar (not pictured), and cat named Hades. Kaitlin enjoys spending time with and competing on her horses when she's not working. Kaitlin has been with us since 2015.

Robin, BSc

Robin was born and raised in Hope, BC. After high school, she attended UCFV then attended UBC where she completed her Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Science. Robin has previously worked at Critter Care Wildlife Rehabilitation in Langley and Hessilhead Wildlife Trust in Scotland. After doing some traveling, she returned to Hope and we were pleased to have her join our team at Kent Veterinary Clinic in 2010. Robin has one dog named Daniel and two cats, Felix and Chloe. In her spare time Robin enjoys hiking, camping, and playing board games.

Lyndsey, VOA

Lyndsey grew up in Vancouver and moved to Chilliwack in October of 2016. She graduated from the Veterinary Office and Animal Care program at Douglas College in 2013. Prior to working in small animal veterinary clinics, she worked in the equine field. In her spare time she enjoys hiking, camping, and spending time with her Mastiff X, Diesel.

Janice, VOA

Janice moved to Hope in 2011. Janice previously worked at a Veterinary Hospital in Surrey and was happy to join the Kent/Coquihalla team. Janice graduated from the Veterinary Animal Hospital Assistant program from Stenberg College in 2003. In her spare time Janice enjoys keeping busy with her two young daughters and husband, gardening, and relaxing with her two cats - Gracie and Sully. Janice has been with us since 2012.

Shannon, VOA

Shannon has lived in Chilliwack for 6 years. Shannon graduated with honours from the West Coast College of Health Care Veterinary Assistant Program in 1998. She has been in the field for 19 years and has enjoyed every minute of it, as it is her passion. She loves all pets big and small, but most of all her Chihuahua Buckaroo. Shannon enjoys having fun outside of work by camping, cooking, boating, and spending time with family.
